Mashallah, both ladies are wearing their hijabs in their own way. To cover yourself completely (except hands and feet for most schools of thought) is the correct thing but for a revert who is taking steps to dress more modestly and incorporate hijab it's excellent to take the first step and then improve your wardrobe as you go along. Look out for my "From This...to This" feature on changing your wardrobe.
